各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

August is a time for summer vacation, and the school has carefully prepared various summer activities for our students, including football and taekwondo classes. I sincerely thank the parents for leading their children back to school to actively participate. In addition, many parents have arranged a variety of enriching summer activities for their children, such as swimming, painting, and dancing. Of course, while enjoying their vacation, students should also remember to complete their summer assignments and take advantage of this precious opportunity to read more, enhancing their extracurricular knowledge and language skills.

今年暑假，恰逢四年一度的奧運會，相信同學們都熱衷於觀看比賽。哪個運動項目最吸引你呢？今年，國家隊及香港代表隊都取得了令人驚嘆的佳績。在此，我們要向所有獲獎的運動員表示熱烈的祝賀。更令人動容的是運動員們背後的奮鬥故事，以及他們接受訓練的艱辛過程。那些未能獲獎或受傷的運動員，也展現了體育精神中的堅韌不拔。奧運會上，不同國籍的運動員在場上奮力拼搏，場下則相互支持與鼓勵，這讓我們真切地感受到了他們對運動的熱愛與堅持，以及他們對他人的同理心和理解。奧運會真是一場意義非凡的世界體育盛會。

This summer coincides with the quadrennial Olympic Games, and I believe students are eager to watch the competitions. Which sports events attract you the most? This year, both the national team and the Hong Kong representative team have achieved remarkable results. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the winning athletes. Even more touching are the stories of struggle behind the athletes and the hardships they endure during their training. Those who did not win or were injured also demonstrate resilience, which is a vital aspect of sportsmanship. At the Olympics, athletes from different nationalities compete fiercely on the field, while supporting and encouraging each other off the field, allowing us to truly feel their love and dedication to sports, as well as their empathy and understanding for others. The Olympic Games are indeed a significant global sporting event.

暑假也是老師們得以休整的寶貴時光，許多老師都選擇外出旅遊，我也為自己安排了一次旅行。雖然旅行中可以品嚐當地美食、欣賞美景，但我始終懷念著我出生和成長的地方，那裡才是我真正的家。旅行歸來後，我更加提醒自己，要繼續努力為我們LTY的學生創造更理想的學習環境。

The summer vacation is also a valuable time for teachers to rest and recharge. Many teachers choose to travel, and I have planned a trip for myself as well. While I can enjoy local delicacies and beautiful scenery during my travels, I always miss the place where I was born and raised; that is where my true home is. After returning from my trip, I remind myself to continue working hard to create an ideal learning environment for our LTY students.

暑假期間，學校也進行了一些工程改造，目的是讓我們的學校變得更加美麗、更加多功能。八月中旬，老師們將開始回校準備新學年的工作，同時還會開設小一銜接課程。祝願新的一年裡，我們學校的發展能夠越來越順利。希望能夠儘快看到每一位學生!

During the summer vacation, the school has also undergone some renovations to make our school more beautiful and multifunctional. In mid-August, teachers will begin returning to school to prepare for the new academic year and will also offer transition courses for Primary 1 students. I wish for our school's development to progress smoothly in the coming year. I can’t wait to see each student as soon as possible!

Note: A ‘gift’ has been prepared for each student on every floor of the school, so everyone should take a look.
